As offices reopened and welcomed workers back to the business district, social distancing stickers that marked out the recommended distance of 1 metre became a stark reminder of the pandemic. We decided to turn these empty negative spaces into positive ones that serve more than just utilitarian function.

Specially designed 1 metre-wide stickers, featuring the works of LASALLE’s graduating students, were placed on public seats – giving them a platform to be seen while allowing people to observe social distancing at the same time. QR codes embedded in the artwork helped connect graduates with job recruiters.

A timely reminder that we can always find the positives in the negative.
