Lou Dela Pena

Lou Dela Pena is the CEO of Publicis Communications Singapore, leading the Groupe’s creative agencies – Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett, as well as 5 specialist agencies – MSL, Luminous Experiential, Nurun, Arc and Prodigious.

With almost two decades of experience in brand leadership, Lou Dela Pena has worked with global and iconic brands such as Singapore Airlines, Apple, Coca-Cola, HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Visa, Lexus, Audi and Procter & Gamble and a number of Singapore government agencies such as the Economic Development Board and currently, the Health Promotion Board.

Lou is a change agent and she fully embraces the Publicis Groupe’s thinking of Lead the Change. Lou focuses on leading the transformation of brands or organisations, depending on the need of the client. Sometimes this is done through social and conversation such as Scoot (Marketing Magazine’s Client Marketer of the Year three times a row) where the conversation shifted from all things transactional to ‘budget airlines can be fun too’ or in the case of HPB, Singaporeans are encouraged to eat, shop and drink more healthily through the Win Leow Campaign launched very successfully, 2 years in a row. Lou is a firm believer of EFFECTIVENESS and she personally drives the tracking of results based on pre agreed objectives of the client. This has led to Publicis Communications being the most effective group of agencies in town – 3 years in a row.

Lou has also worked on brands that led the change through a combination of conversation and action. They are, Abbott adult nutrition, Audi Singapore, FWD, agoda for Southeast Asia to name a few.

Lou continues to drive excellence by continually strengthening the group’s diverse service offering, as well as through her passionate commitment to helping clients with their marketing transformation in a rapidly changing environment.

Sharim Gubbels

Sharim Gubbels is a Creative Director at Publicis Singapore. Born in Holland, Sharim spent his childhood and teenage years drawing and getting furiously angry at himself when the work was just not quite right. That dislike of flaws ended up in a 17-year journey from his home, to the UK and Singapore, moving from videogame development into advertising.

He spends most of his time on Samsung, Audi, and Nespresso, always curious to find new ways to best deliver on campaign objectives.

Before joining Publicis Singapore, he has had the privilege to work on global, regional, and local brands such as Google, Okamoto Condoms, Singapore Airlines, Visa, Corona, Standard Chartered Bank, Ben & Jerry's, Lenovo, Intel, and 20th Century Fox. His work has been recognized by Cannes, Spikes, New York Festival, CCA and Effies.

In his spare time, if he can find any, he folds paper into sculptures for any exhibition that will take him.
