Publicis Singapore appoints Frances Kong in new dual role

Fresh from a successful year of winning industry awards and recognition, Publicis Singapore announces the appointment of Frances Kong as General Manager of Publicis Singapore and its luxury brand communications arm Publicis 133 LUX.

Kong, who previously held the role of client service director of Publicis 133 LUX, will start her new dual role on January 4. She reports directly to Publicis Singapore CEO Lou Dela Pena.

“I have known Frances for 10 years and worked with her on great brands like Singapore Airlines,” said Dela Pena, who was recently awarded South East Asia Agency Head of the Year by Campaign. “She is a talented, seasoned, integrated brand leader and I am thrilled that she will be helping me lead the change at Publicis Singapore.”

Kong is tasked with raising the standards of brand leadership for clients like AXA, Audi, and Nikon. She will work closely with Nurun’s Joanne Theseira to help integrate Nurun’s design thinking into the rest of the agency.

She will also be collaborating with incoming Executive Creative Directors Troy Lim and Jon Loke, who are joining Publicis Singapore from Ogilvy.

In addition to her client and team focus, she will also lead Publicis Singapore’s extensive in-house staff training program. The agency recorded nearly 2,000 hours of in-house staff training in 2015.

“We invest heavily in evolving our peoples’ skill sets and Frances will lead this important program,” said Dela Pena.

Kong is a highly experienced, integrated brand-communications professional. Her client portfolio includes Pernod Ricard brands (Chivas Regal, Martell, and Royal Salute), Jaguar, L’Oreal’s Luxury Products division, Johnnie Walker, adidas, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Accor and Cartier. She had previously worked for Iris in Singapore, Euro RSCG, and Leo Burnett.
